Azure
Microsoft Azure is a cloud platform for hosting business applications, data and infrastructure. Organizations can run virtual machines, deploy web applications and databases, connect cloud resources to existing networks, and plan migrations or recovery without building every system in a local data center.
Capabilities for your work
- 01Virtual machines, application hosting and managed databases
- 02Cloud storage, networking and hybrid connectivity
- 03Migration, backup and disaster recovery services
When is it most useful?
Useful when a business is moving workloads to the cloud, needs flexible capacity for a new application, or wants a managed recovery environment for important systems.
Azure offers Virtual Machines, Storage, Virtual Network, Azure SQL, App Service, Azure Migrate, Backup and Site Recovery. Services and configurations can be selected for each application, migration or recovery objective.
An Azure design should match each workload to its availability, security, data location and cost requirements. Teams can start with a migration assessment, choose suitable compute and storage services, then define backup and recovery policies before production use.
