01 / 07Microsoft 365

From Gmail to a more secure Microsoft 365 environment

A growing organization needed its email environment to be easier to manage and better aligned with its security requirements. The project was about more than changing the mailbox interface: the IT team needed clearer control of accounts, access and company information.

The challenge

The client used Gmail but had limited administrative visibility and control over company email. Moving to a new platform also meant planning the transition so staff could keep working and important mail remained available.

What we did

SITEC Jordan planned and carried out the move to Microsoft 365 E3. We configured the management and security capabilities available in the selected plan and supported the shift from the old email environment to the new one.

The outcome

The organization now works in Microsoft 365 with more consistent administration. Its IT team has greater control over user accounts, email and the data associated with them.

02 / 07ISO 27001

Preparing for and completing an information security audit

An audit is easier to face when policies, controls and supporting evidence reflect how an organization actually works. This client needed practical preparation for an external assessment against ISO 27001 requirements.

The challenge

The organization was approaching an audit conducted by KPMG. It needed to address the relevant requirements and bring its documentation and implemented controls together in a form the assessors could review.

What we did

SITEC Jordan helped identify the requirements, put the necessary controls and documentation in place, and supported the client during the assessment. The work connected written procedures with the evidence and practices behind them.

The outcome

The audit was completed successfully, and the client received a certificate confirming the outcome. The preparation also gave the organization a clearer basis for continuing its information security work.

03 / 07Incident response

Recovering from ransomware without losing data

A ransomware incident can quickly interrupt normal work. In this engagement the immediate priorities were containing the disruption, restoring the affected environment and bringing the business back into operation.

The challenge

An attack disrupted the client’s systems and created urgent pressure to restore services. Recovery needed to be coordinated carefully so that the response did not introduce further problems.

What we did

SITEC Jordan contained the incident and worked through the recovery of the affected environment. The team focused on bringing the systems needed for day-to-day operations back into service.

The outcome

The client returned to normal operations within two business days, with no data loss reported in this engagement. The experience reinforced the value of a prepared recovery approach.

04 / 07Cloud migration

Moving the server environment to the cloud

The client wanted to move beyond a physical server environment while keeping essential services available. A sound migration needed an orderly transition and a way to recover if operations were interrupted.

The challenge

The existing servers supported ongoing work, so moving them could not be treated as a simple copy. Dependencies, continuity and recovery requirements had to be considered together.

What we did

SITEC Jordan migrated the physical servers to a cloud environment and established a disaster recovery site. We then tested recovery scenarios rather than leaving continuity as an unverified plan.

The outcome

The organization moved to cloud operations with a tested approach to business continuity and a clearer path for restoring services when needed.

05 / 07Process automation

Turning paper procedures into digital workflows

Paper records and manual handoffs can make routine work harder to follow. The client needed a more connected way to complete important procedures and keep the information behind them accessible.

The challenge

Key processes relied on paper documents and steps carried out by hand. That made it harder for teams to find the current status of a request and trace what had already happened.

What we did

SITEC Jordan designed and implemented a digital working environment covering those procedures. The new workflows brought steps and their associated information into a structure that staff could use and manage.

The outcome

Information became easier to reach, follow and administer. Teams gained a clearer view of process progress without depending on scattered paper records.

06 / 07Information governance

Building a structured information security framework

Information is difficult to protect consistently when an organization has no common way to classify it or define responsibility for it. The client needed a framework that could guide decisions across teams.

The challenge

The organization wanted a clearer method for managing information security and classifying data. Policies and controls had to work together rather than remain separate documents.

What we did

SITEC Jordan developed and implemented security policies, established data classification practices and introduced controls at the organizational level. The work gave teams a shared structure for handling information.

The outcome

The client gained a more organized way to identify, classify and protect its information, supporting more consistent security decisions throughout the organization.

07 / 07Operational technology

Separating IT and OT networks across multiple factories

Factories need dependable production equipment and access to the information that equipment provides. Those needs can conflict with routine IT patching when machines and controllers are older or difficult to stop.

The challenge

Across more than one factory, production devices could not simply be replaced or updated on a regular IT schedule. Employees still needed selected information from the OT network to do their jobs, so blocking every connection was not practical.

What we did

SITEC Jordan studied the environment at each site and coordinated with the suppliers of the OT systems. We separated the networks and designed firewall policies and controlled paths around the connections production and staff actually needed. After implementation, our team and the client’s network administrator continued monitoring traffic between IT and OT, reviewing flows that appeared unnecessary or unexpected.

The outcome

Employees retained access to essential information through defined connections, while ongoing traffic visibility helps verify that only needed communication crosses the boundary. The approach supports continued production and stronger network control.
